Two spectacular internationally celebrated musicians will open the 41st season for the Brevard Philharmonic on Sunday, October 15th at 3pm at Brevard Colleges Porter Center. The program? Beethoven, Mendelssohn and Tchaikovsky. Cornelia Laemmli Orth is the only woman and the first guest conductor in this, the orchestras Artistic Director Search Season. From La Scala in Milan to the Zurich Opera House, to her current position as Music Director/Conductor of the Symphony of the Mountains, Kingsport, Tennessee, Maestro Orth brings charm and vitality to every performance. The afternoons guest soloist will be the violinist, Aleksey Semenenko, whose artistry and intensity have won him gold medals all over Europe and earned him triumphant reviews from the NY Times and the Washington Post.
