Beginning Foundation Quilting Class

Discover the creative art of quilting in this introductory class. In this 3-sessionclass, students will learn the process of Foundation, or Paper Piecing, by making a small wall hanging or a table topper. Skills learned in this class will enable students to tackle more complicated patterns with confidence.
The class will cover fabric choice, both color and value; the use of mirrors for auditioning fabrics; measuring and cutting for accuracy; the importance of organization and time use throughout the construction process; seam matching; and finally, border options, quilting, and finishing.
The instructor for this class is Linda Voltz. Linda, quilts have won numerous awards, is an experienced teacher, having taught quilting to both youth and adults.
