Hike to Rainbow Falls

Gorges State Park

Much beloved Rainbow Falls is located in Pisgah National Forest, but it is accessed by a trail that leaves from the Grassy Ridge Parking Area in Gorges State Park. The roundtrip journey to this colorful 150-foot cascade is about 3 miles, but the trail is well maintained. If you’re feeling frisky, you can also continue up the Horsepasture River to Turtle Back Falls and Drift Falls.
