Most trails are now open thanks to the tireless work of multiple volunteers and trail crews. However, a few trails still require maintenance before they can be explored again. Check ahead to the specific trail you’re interested in for more information.

Yes, you can go mountain biking in Transylvania County. However, much like the hiking trails, some still require maintenance, especially in DuPont State Recreational Forest. Many trails in Pisgah National Forest and Bracken Mountain Preserve are open for mountain bikers, so we encourage you to explore these areas. Yes, the Pisgah Inn is open and taking reservations for rooms and dining for the 2025 season.

The Blue Ridge Parkway is now fully open in Transylvaia County.
Was Downtown Brevard affected by helene?
Thankfully, Downtown Brevard was relatively unscathed by Hurricane Helene. It remains as vibrant as ever with the shops, restaurants, and dining that make it the heart of your mountain adventure. Surrounding communities like Rosman and Cedar Mountain were more affected, but are quickly making a comeback. All of our communities greatly benefit from your visitation and responsible exploration.
