Introducing our newest Music Appreciation series with Mark Hall!
Beginning March 19, join us at the Arts Council for a series on Symbolism in Early 20th Century French Music: Claude Debussy, Maurice Ravel, and Contemporaries. This class will meet six Wednesdays from 6-8 pm.
Come to one, a few, or all of Mark’s sessions! This class will explore how composers like Debussy, Ravel, and their contemporaries took inspiration from French Symbolist poets and artists who were all about mystery, mood, and breaking the rules. From shimmering orchestral textures to delicate piano works, take a fun, engaging dive into the lush, mysterious soundscapes of late 19th and early 20th-century France.
