The Pisgah Conservancy and Pisgah River Rangers invite the community to celebrate the fascinating world of moths and other nighttime insects at the annual Moth Party on Thursday, JULY 2, from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the Pisgah Ranger District Visitor Center, located at 1600 Pisgah Highway.
This free, family-friendly event offers a unique opportunity to experience the forest after dark and discover the incredible diversity of insects that emerge at night. Participants can observe moths and other insects attracted to specially designed light traps while learning about their remarkable adaptations and important roles in forest ecosystems.
In addition to guided moth observation, the evening will feature hands-on activity stations, crafts, face painting, smores, and other interactive opportunities designed for visitors of all ages.
Moth Night is open to the public and no registration is required.
