Spend a creative day exploring pastel techniques inspired by Edgar Degas. We will begin with a brief look at Degas’ life and works, learning about key Impressionist techniques such as capturing light, movement, and expressive color, and his use of composition in his paintings. You will then use Degas work as inspiration to create a painting in the pastel medium, learning about the beautiful diversity of the pastel medium, how to make marks, blend, and layer. If you are new to pastel or looking to loosen up your style, you will find something to learn in their class!
