Come and experience the sights, sounds and tastes of Appalachian Culture! There will be music, artisans at work, historical displays, and activities for all ages. Visitors can also tour the 1815 Allison Deaver House, the oldest frame house west of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The Pearls and Skyward Blue will provide musical entertainment. Sparky and Rhonda Rucker will share stories and songs from the rich heritage of their southern Appalachian roots, including the African American component of the culture. Local Native American historian and author Yvonne McCall Dickson will discuss the Cherokee and their contribution to Appalachian Culture.
