Brevard Plein Air Art Festival
The Brevard Plein Air Festival is a four-day celebration of outdoor painting that highlights the beauty of Brevard and its surrounding mountains. “En plein air,” meaning “in open air,” describes the art method of painting entirely outdoors. Artists from across the region capture the charm of Downtown Brevard and scenic vistas, culminating in the Wet Paint Show and Sale, where their works are available for purchase to support the Heart of Brevard. Visitors are encouraged to watch the artists in action and take home a unique piece of local art.

4th Friday Gallery Walks
From April through December, galleries and a rotating cast of shops in Downtown Brevard keep their doors open late, catering to both art enthusiasts and shoppers. Many events feature wine, hors d’oeuvres, and live music, creating a lively atmosphere. The Art Walk invites you to enjoy an evening stroll under the charming glow of street lamps, tantalizing your taste buds for a meal at nearby restaurants, and perhaps discovering a unique addition to your collection along the way.

Sculpture Walk/Tour
If you want to know where the wild things are, you don’t always have to venture into the woods. This urban walk features animals that are, or were, indigenous to this area. These include wild turkeys, foxes, panthers, black bears, chipmunks, and even white squirrels. Beginning with a red wolf in downtown Brevard, the sculpture project has expanded to include 20 animals, one abstract sculpture, and three giant musical instruments. And although most of these steel, bronze, copper marble, and stone sculptures are downtown, some are a bit farther out and may require a short drive. Stop by the Visitor Center for a map.
Scenic Hwy 276 Arts corridor
This 13-mile stretch of highway winds from just south of Brevard to the South Carolina State line. The route winds past more than a dozen art galleries and craft studios, as well as home-style dining, local produce stands, and charming rustic accommodations. Travelers not too distracted by the artwork may also find themselves impressed by the stunning scenery. Stop by the Visitor Center for more information.
