Public Use Photos
The Transylvania County Tourism Development Authority (TCTDA) directly owns or has licensed use of the images used in promoting Transylvania County unless otherwise noted.
A selection of approved public-use images is available through the Explore Brevard Public Use Photos Media Hub.
These images are available for use in promoting Transylvania County and the visitor experience.
Photo credit of “Photo Courtesy of Explore Brevard” is required with any use.
Images can be used for commercial promotion purposes but can not be resold or relicensed.
Additional Photo Requests
Organizations seeking non-commercial use of images not included in the Media Hub may submit a request to the TCTDA for consideration.
Requests should include:
- The image(s) requested
- Intended use
- Organization name
Please note:
- Approval is granted on a case-by-case basis.
- Use is not commercial, meaning that it is either used by a nonprofit organization or for non-commercial purposes by a for-profit business. Examples of the latter would be photography in conjunction with editorial content or use within a slideshow not shared publicly.
- The photograph must not be in current regular use by the TCTDA.
- Only a limited number of photos may be provided (maximum of five). The intent is to complement existing photography, not supply a full suite of images.
- Any approved use is non-transferable and intended only for the specific use requested

The TCTDA is happy to assist members of the media with photography and destination assets for stories covering Transylvania County. If you are working on editorial coverage and need specific imagery, recommendations, or assistance sourcing assets, please reach out.
