Animal lovers, outdoor enthusiasts, and families are invited to the
Cradle of Forestry for Tails on Trails, a special event that brings together adoptable dogs,
outdoor education, and opportunities to learn how people and pets can safely enjoy public
lands together.

From 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m on Saturday, June 27th, visitors can meet adoptable dogs from
Charlie’s Angels Animal Rescue and learn about the organization’s efforts to connect animals
with loving, permanent homes. Guests may even have the opportunity to take a dog for a walk
along the Cradle’s scenic grounds!

Bring your own furry friends to enjoy pup cups, walk the historic area, and interact with fellow
pet owners! Throughout the afternoon, attendees will learn practical tips for recreating
responsibly with pets, including trail etiquette, wildlife awareness, leash practices, and
strategies for keeping animals safe while exploring forests, parks, and public lands with
advocates from Leave No Trace.

In addition to meeting adoptable dogs, visitors will have the unique opportunity to interact with a
horse and learn about safe and respectful trail behavior when encountering equestrians with
our partners in Slow and Say Hello!

Visitors interested in adoption are encouraged to speak with representatives from Charlie’s
Angels Animal Rescue about beginning the adoption process. Please note that same-day
adoptions will not be available, as the rescue follows a thorough application and placement
process to ensure every animal is matched with the right home.

The event is free with paid admission to the Cradle of Forestry. Tails on Trails is made possible
through the partnership of Charlie’s Angels Animal Rescue, Leave No Trace, Slow and Say
Hello, and the USFS.
