Victoria Chang is a poet and Guggenheim Fellow whose work explores grief, identity, and memory through innovative forms. Her collection Obit won the Los Angeles Times Book Prize and the PEN Voelcker Award, and was named a New York Times Notable Book. She is also the author of With My Back to the World, winner of the Forward Prize for Best Collection of Poetry, and serves as the Bourne Chair of Poetry at Georgia Tech.
Leslie Jamison is an award-winning essayist and novelist whose work examines the complexities of empathy, addiction, and human connection. Her collection The Empathy Exams won the Graywolf Press Nonfiction Prize and was a New York Times bestseller. She is also the author of The Recovering and Splinters: Another Kind of Love Story, and teaches in the Columbia University MFA program.

David Joy is a novelist from North Carolina whose fiction is deeply rooted in the landscapes and people of Appalachia. His books include Where All Light Tends to Go, an Edgar Award finalist; When These Mountains Burn, winner of the Dashiell Hammett Award; and Those We Thought We Knew, winner of the Willie Morris Award and the Thomas Wolfe Prize. His essays have appeared in The New York Times Magazine, TIME, and Garden & Gun.
