During this class we will begin with a brief introduction on Seurat’s life and explore some of his iconic works using his revolutionary technique of Pointillism (also known as Divisionism), a method of applying tiny, pure-color dots side by side so they blend optically in the viewer’s eye. Students will then create their own pastel mini-painting, using a broken-dot technique inspired by Seurat’s Pointillist style
