Celebrate Independence Day in downtown Brevard with an expanded two-day celebration honoring America’s 250th anniversary. Festivities begin on Friday, July 3, 2026, with an evening street festival on East Main Street featuring local vendors, food trucks, a beer garden, and live music—setting the stage for a full day of community celebration on July 4.
On Saturday, July 4, downtown will come alive with a full street festival from morning through evening. The day begins with the Transylvania County Farmers Market and continues with craft, retail, food, and nonprofit vendors throughout downtown. Visitors can enjoy live music, a classic car show, a youth bike parade, and family activities, including a foam party and mini golf. Patriotic traditions will also take center stage with a flag raising ceremony, a reading from the Declaration of Independence, and a community birthday cake celebration.
Additional highlights include a beer garden, Rocky’s Hot Dog Eating Contest, an old-time street dance with live bluegrass music, and plenty of opportunities to explore downtown shopping and dining. The evening concludes with live music leading into a spectacular fireworks display after dark.
Event details and times are still being finalized, and additional programming may be announced as plans continue to develop.
