Please note: This virtual retreat replaces an in-person event with John Philip Newell, originally scheduled on a different date in Brevard, N.C. The in-person event has been canceled due to the devastating impact of Hurricane Helene and the need to discourage unnecessary travel to Western North Carolina. Despite this development, we firmly believe that John Philip Newell’s message is more timely than ever. He eloquently states, “Our work is to help reawaken the sense of the sacred that is already deep in the human soul, our primordial relationship with nature, our ancient mother love of the earth. We can be part of its rising again.” These words resonate deeply in light of Hurricane Helene and its devastating aftermath. Our goal is to bring Newell’s insights and teachings to the greater community. His valuable perspectives on spiritual and ecological concerns are vital during this challenging time.

The retreat focuses on the main themes of John Philip’s ground-breaking new book The Great Search: Turning to Earth and Soul in the Quest for Healing and Home (HarperOne, August 2024).

If you currently have a ticket for the in-person event, you will be automatically registered for the Oct. 26 virtual retreat and do not need to re-register. For current ticket holders unable to attend the virtual retreat, there are multiple options in regard to unused tickets, including a refund. Ticket holders will receive an email the week of Oct. 7th with further details.
