An Aluminum Christmas Tree 🌲✨

Take a step back in time and marvel at the wonders of Christmas Trees from the 1960s at the Aluminum Tree & Ornament Museum, better known as ATOM. This exhibit, featuring a land of vintage wonders, runs through the holiday season, so there’s plenty of time to stop by and take a gander.

Light Up The Night 🌟

Find yourself feeling merry and bright with a magical evening at Light Up the Night in Downtown Brevard. Enjoy browsing vendors at the Merry Maker’s Market, live music, performances, food trucks, ice skating, and hayrides. It’s a full day of holiday fun!

A Christmas Parade 

A full day of festive fun awaits in Brevard on December 7. The annual Christmas Parade is coming to town! This time-honored tradition fills the streets of Downtown Brevard with a spectacle of floats, lights, and holiday cheer.

Playing in the Woods 🎄🦌

Transylvania County is an outdoor paradise. Over half the county is public land, so there are plenty of trails to trek and spots to explore! Some public lands in our neck of the woods include Pisgah National Forest, DuPont State Recreational Forest, Gorges State Park, and Headwaters State Forest.

Fluffy White Squirrels

White squirrels are a beloved fixture of wildlife here in Brevard, NC. These rare animals are so special here that there is a whole day in February, and a weekend festival in May dedicated to them!  Like any wild animal, these little guys are free to roam – a few hot spots in town where you might see one include Brevard College, Silvermont Mansion & Park, and Franklin Park.

Campers can enjoy a fire in Davidson River Campground and Gorges State Park, as long as they adhere to the guidelines for each area! If you’d rather spend your time around a fire pit or fire place, several accommodations in the county have amenities to make your stay toasty warm.
