French Medal of Honor to be bestowed on WWII Veteran July 9

On July 9, French Consul General Anne-Laure Desjonquerres will bestow the French Legion de l’honneur medal on WWII P-47 pilot Lt. Col. Ed Cottrell ,USAF (Ret.) at Grace Brevard Church at 1:30 pm. This medal is given in recognition of Cottrell’s role in liberating France from Nazi occupation during WWII.
