The program continues with Chopin’s Piano Concerto No. 2, a work of poetic beauty and dazzling virtuosity, performed by the radiant pianist Eric Lu. The evening culminates with the majestic Saint-Saëns Organ Symphony, a breathtaking work of orchestral power, featuring the mighty sonorities of the organ in a triumphant and exhilarating finale. Whittington-Pfohl Auditorium is Brevard Music Center’s iconic open-air venue, with seating for 1,900 as well as lawn seating. Lawn patrons are welcome to bring their own picnics and beverages, or enjoy concessions available on-site. It’s the perfect way to experience live music under the stars.
