Woods Mountain

Woods Mountain is an annual MTB race that puts you in the backcountry of the Pisgah National Forest.  Rolling over rugged mining roads, classic Pisgah single track, cursing climbs and giggling descents, this course will test your skills and desire as you explore the intoxicating terrain of the Pisgah National Forest. THIS RACE IS LIMITED BY THE US FOREST SERVICE TO 200 PARTICIPANTS Date: Sunday, June 13, 2021 (Rain or Shine) Time: Packet pickup starts at 7:00 am. There will be a Race Meeting at the Start line at 8:50 am. Every racer must attend meeting. You must have your shuttled items ready by 8:45 am. Race start will begin promptly at 9:00 am. Fee: $80 Until 5/17/21. $90 5/18/21 to 6/7/21. $100 on Race Day Amenities: Chip timing with instant results, categories, awesome rest stops, beer at finish with Feast (Meat or Vegetarian), well-marked route, restrooms, wicked NC singlet rack and so much more. The Sasquatch Scrambler is a MTB race with a short enough course to make it a great first race in Pisgah. Rolling over rugged mining roads, classic Pisgah single track, cursing climbs and giggling descents, this course will test your skills and desire as you explore the intoxicating terrain of the Pisgah National Forest.  Good food and brew will be at the finish to comfort you after a great ride! The Sycamore Cycles Swank 65 is mountain bike racing at its most primeval, far removed from civilization and polluted air. The race begins at 2500 feet, and consists of a triad of cloverleaf shaped loops winding around Gloucester Gap in Pisgah National Forest.  Rolling over rugged mining roads, fun single track, tough climbs and hell-raising descents, the exhilarating course will test your skills and desire as you explore the devilish terrain of the Pisgah National Forest. THIS RACE IS LIMITED BY THE US FOREST SERVICE TO 200 PARTICIPANTS. Date: Sunday, November 15, 2020 Start Time: Packet pickup at 8AM. There will be a Race Meeting at the Start line at 9:50. The Couch Potato is an annual mountain bike race with a short enough course to make it doable from ‘off the couch’. Rolling over rugged mining roads, classic Pisgah single track, cursing climbs and giggling descents, this course will test your skills and desire as you explore the intoxicating terrain of the Pisgah National Forest.  Good food, brews and a camp fire will be at the finish to comfort you after a long day in the saddle! THIS RACE IS LIMITED BY THE US FOREST SERVICE TO 200 PARTICIPANTS Date: Saturday, November 14, 2020 Start Time: Packet pickup starting at 8AM. There will be a Race Meeting at the Start line at 9:50. Every racer must attend meeting. You must have your shuttled items ready by 9:45AM. Race start will begin promptly at 10:00 a.m. Rest Stops/First Aid: There will be three fully-stocked rest stops on the course. The rest stops have food, CLIF Energy Drink, and H20.
