Halloweenfest: October

We shouldn’t even have to tell you that Halloween is kind of a big deal around here. I mean, it’s Transylvania County, for squirrel’s sake. In the event that you haven’t come up with the perfect venue to try out your costume, consider spending it with the ghosts, ghouls, witches, warlocks, werewolves, vampires, mountain bikers and assorted creepy crawlies of Brevard. Halloween is an all-day affair with fangs, food, fur, fairy tale princesses and (probably) a little fake blood. You can get a little exercise with the Flight of the Vampire 5K, then gather a little candy and head down to hear some live music at the courthouse gazebo. It’s enough to make even the grumpiest werewolf howl with anticipation.
