Western North Carolina Wildlife
We’ve got a few unique residents living in the hills and waters of Brevard, NC — including some endangered species that aren’t found anywhere else in the world. From squirrels — both White Squirrels and Carolina Northern Flying Squirrels — to the spruce fir moss spider and the Eastern Hellbender, our lineup of rare species is impressive. However, you’ll also find a few usual suspects lingering in the woods including White-Tailed Deer, Eastern Chipmunks, Black Bears, and Bobcats.
