This event and demonstration with local artisan Becky Garrison is linked to the exhibit’s thread-spinning and clothing displays. The “Mountain Legacies: Exploring Appalachian Culture” exhibit and program series at the Transylvania Heritage Museum celebrates the resilience, ingenuity, and cultural fusion of Appalachia through crafts, trade, and traditions and is supported by a grant from the NC Humanities.
