Zumba/Cardio Boxing in the Library Amphitheater

Zumba and Cardio Boxing in one class! Zumba gets people moving in flow to the music while Cardio Boxing builds strength endurance, and precision in a series of no contact punches and jabs. The class meets on Mondays @ 5:30 pm, April 3rd – May 22nd, outside in the Amphitheater (no alternate rain/snow location). People of all ages are welcome – no special dance moves, gloves, or boxing bags are needed! Try out a single class or attend all of them.

Instructor and Personal Trainer Melissa McCall Owen has been energizing fitness classes for 30 years. She says, “it’s not just all about fitness but giving people of all ages, sizes and backgrounds, a chance to make lasting friendships, build confidence and self-esteem, strengthen patience, and develop leadership roles.” Melissa is licensed to teach Zumba at multiple levels to participants of all ages including Zumba, Zumba Gold®, Zumba® Kids & Kids Jr., and Zumba in Circuit. Melissa also teaches an incredible array of other forms of movement including Weight Training, Silver Sneakers, Strong Nations, Women’s Self Defense, Basic Beginner Yoga, Gentle Yoga – trauma. Her educational background includes nutrition, physiology, and she has worked in Alternative Health for 20 years.
