Don’t miss this one-of-a-kind workshop on Tuesday, April 26th, when Andrea Kulish lead us in the creation of beautifully decorated eggs using the Ukrainian pysanky process. In the workshop, participants will make pysanky using wax-resist dying. Designs based on traditional Ukrainian folk art patterns are made with beeswax which is melted in the flame of a candle and applied to the egg. The eggs are then dipped into successively darker dyes, until, at the end of the process, the beeswax is melted away to reveal the beautiful, colorful design.
Registration is open to individuals aged 16 and above. The registration fee for this class is $75, and includes all supplies. Register online at www.tcarts.org, or by calling 828.884.2787.
