Brevard Ballet presents The Nutcracker set in 1920s-era Brevard at Silvermont Mansion. Silvermont was home to local industrialist Joseph Silversteen and his family – the inspiration for the family hosting the Christmas party in this localized version of the iconic ballet. The production is choreographed by Thomas Shoemaker of the South Carolina Governor’s School. It features local dancers and dancers from the Governor’s School. Tickets are $22 for adults and $11 for students and are available online at brevardballet.org or at D.D.Bullwinkel’s.
