Strange New Planet

Stop by the Youth Services area of the Library for this simulation of space exploration. Participants plan and carry out five missions to a “planet” and communicate their discoveries to their family or a friend. This free event is open to all ages.
This program supports Explore Space: A Cosmic Journey, on display at the Transylvania County Library August 11-October 5, 2018. Explore Space: A Cosmic Journey, a traveling exhibition for libraries, is part of the STAR Library Education Network (STAR_Net) led by the National Center for Interactive Learning at the Space Science Institute. Exhibit partners include the American Library Association, the Lunar and Planetary Institute, and Afterschool Alliance. Explore Space is supported through a grant from the National Science Foundation.
