Those unfamiliar with the term “bed turning” are in for a treat!
Bed turnings are the precursor to our modern “show and tell.”
An old fashion “bed turning” was a social event where women would invite friends, neighbors & people from their church to show off their handiwork, layering their quilts on a bed and turning each one – telling their story of when they were made, fabric, pattern and who made them.
Join us and listen in, these Quilts have stories to tell!
