March 17, 2022 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every week that begins at 2:00 pm on Thursday, repeating until April 7, 2022

In this introductory course, participants will be introduced to the creation of images through the printmaking process. Participants are requested to bring at least one image idea (an idea, drawing, personal photo, and/or painting) to class. The class will then take their images and reinterpret them as a monotype, or one-of-a-kind print.

Materials that we will be using include acrylic plate(s), print paper, brushes, water-based ink, drawing paper, and other materials, all of which will be supplied by Pipsissewa Press. The only “material” the students need to bring to the first class is an image idea.

No previous printmaking or art experience is necessary: all levels of art making can be included.

The instructor for this class is Richard Mayberry. Richard is a lifelong artist and arts educator and has taught printmaking to students ranging from middle school age to senior citizens.
