As the situation with COVID-19 continues to change, Explore Brevard is doing its best to keep up with events that have been cancelled or rescheduled.
Currently, events in March and April are the most affected.  For now, we can assume that any events beyond that time are still scheduled to occur.

April 25 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Pisgah Pride Day is an annual “all hands on deck” effort to improve and preserve Pisgah National Forest. The high impact event, both in visibility and accomplishments, is being co-hosted by The Pisgah Conservancy and The Cradle of Forestry Interpretive Association. Transylvania County Tourism is the presenting sponsor. With more than 300 volunteers and many local, regional and national organizations partnering, an incredible amount of work is expected to be accomplished, from rebuilding trails and bridges to removing and treating 10,000 square feet of non-native invasive plant species.
TPC, the Forest Service, and participating organizations will provide supervision and tools. Volunteers will receive a t-shirt, eco-friendly water bottle, and other miscellaneous goodies for their efforts. All are invited to gather afterwards at Oskar Blues in Brevard for a bit of refreshment, with a percentage of the proceeds going to The Pisgah Conservancy.
Volunteers will meet at the Cradle of Forestry in America between 8 A.M. and 8:30 A.M. on US 276 just north of Sliding Rock and Looking Glass Falls (unless otherwise directed by email). Once a volunteer has checked in at the Cradle of Forestry, they will carpool with their group or use specially provided transportation to the specific job site. Groups will head out with their crew leaders by 9 A.M. sharp.
Volunteers should register for the 5th annual event at www.pisgahconservancy.org. Click on Pisgah Pride to register.
