Explore the Sun with a view from space and possibly in person. Help calculate how long it takes our star to rotate and learn a bit about its future. Led by scientists from Pisgah Astronomical Research Institute (PARI).
This free event is for children ages 9 and up. Registration is required. Stop by or call the Youth Services desk at 828-884-3151 ext. 3.

This program supports Explore Space: A Cosmic Journey, on display at the Transylvania County Library August 11-October 5, 2018. Explore Space: A Cosmic Journey, a traveling exhibition for libraries, is part of the STAR Library Education Network (STAR_Net) led by the National Center for Interactive Learning at the Space Science Institute. Exhibit partners include the American Library Association, the Lunar and Planetary Institute, and Afterschool Alliance. Explore Space is supported through a grant from the National Science Foundation.
