Join DuPont State Recreational Forest (DSRF) educator Jane Dauster for an exploration of Lake Julia. Participants will learn about the history and active forest management occurring around the lake and explore the life history of creatures that live in and around this incredible ecosystem. Be sure to wear clothes and shoes that can get dirty. We recommend you bring a change of clothes, towel, extra pair of shoes, snacks, and water. We will meet at the Aleen Steinberg Visitor Center at 10:00 a.m. and will carpool to the lake. The program will last 3 hours and once we are at the lake, there will be very limited facilities. Limit 12 participants and sign-up is required. Call (828) 692-0100 or email holmesesf.ncfs@ncagr.gov to reserve your spot!
