This week long workshop held at the TC Arts Council will introduce the students to the concepts of digital photography and how their cameras work. Each class will combine classroom games and information with actual picture taking, so that students can reinforce the concepts and terminology that they are learning throughout the week. The week will culminate in a photo book produced by each student – optional for $15. Students aged 8 – 10 years old will have photography class Monday thru Friday, July 29 thru August 2 from 9:30 am – 12:30 pm and students aged 11 – 13 years old will have class from 1:30 pm – 4:30 pm. Cost is $150 per student, plus optional $15 for a photo book. The workshop will be led by Kathy King, Brevard photographer, who has experience teaching photography and writing. She began studying photography in the 1980’s then went on to have a 20 year legal career before returning to photography as a vocation in 2008.
