Using a planetarium projector, scientists from Pisgah Astronomical Research Institute (PARI) will display the night sky, noting classical constellations, the Moon, planets, and how stars appear to move as the night progresses.
Registration is required. This free event is open to all ages. Planetarium sessions are at 1 pm, 2 pm, 3 pm, and 4 pm. Please register for your preferred time slot.

This program supports Explore Space: A Cosmic Journey, on display at the Transylvania County Library August 11-October 5, 2018. Explore Space: A Cosmic Journey, a traveling exhibition for libraries, is part of the STAR Library Education Network (STAR_Net) led by the National Center for Interactive Learning at the Space Science Institute. Exhibit partners include the American Library Association, the Lunar and Planetary Institute, and Afterschool Alliance. Explore Space is supported through a grant from the National Science Foundation.
