Come join our freshwater biologist and naturalist as he takes you on an extraordinary journey below the surface of the third oldest river in the world. This new world offers adventurers the opportunity to see breath-taking underwater landscapes filled with a diverse aquatic community that include many vibrant colored fish, turtles, beavers, and the eastern hellbender – a salamander that reaches approximately 2.5 feet in length. Customers float 1 to 2 miles downstream in a wetsuit. Wetsuits, snorkels, masks, and gloves are provided.Why a wetsuit? Wetsuits provide warmth from the cool water, and protection from rocks and objects along the stream bed.
