April 7, 2016 @ 10:30 pm - 11:00 pm

The Library and OnTrack WNC Financial Education & Counseling are joining forces to offer FREE financial education classes at the Library. The classes are part of a nationwide initiative through the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) which capitalizes on the unique role of libraries as places where people go for community and for information.
This class, Preventing Identity Theft, is a repeat of the class held at the Library in December. One of OnTracK WNC’s certified financial educators will teach this class focusing on how identity theft happens, offering alerts about prevalent fraud and scam techniques, providing tips for securing your identity, and explaining resources available to identity theft victims.
