Two artists praised for their emotional connection with an audience take the Porter Center Stage at Brevard College, Sunday, November 12th at 3pm with a dynamically varied program of John Williams, Shostakovich, Rossini and Schumann. The second concert in Brevard Philharmonics Artistic Director Search Season will showcase candidate and guest conductor, Nick Palmer. Widely recognized for his compelling performances, he received the Helen M. Thompson award from the League of American Orchestras as the nations most outstanding young music director. Palmer is Music Director/Conductor of the North Charleston POPS!, Music Director/Conductor of the Lafayette Symphony, Indiana and is a favorite guest conductor in Europe, Mexico and South America. Palmer will conduct the afternoons guest soloist, the award winning, technically dazzling cellist, Sang-Eun Lee. Ms. Lee has been playing around the world for a decade, winning top prizes in many international competitions, including the prestigious Johansen International Competition in 2009.
