Blue Ridge Sunset Tour

The mountains of Appalachia offer some of the most beautiful views and sunsets in the world, and each peak will leave you breathless as they’re surrounded by red, yellow and purple. We’ll take you to Black Balsam Knob, one of the most sought-after 360-degree views along the Blue Ridge Parkway. While waiting for sundown, our naturalist and guide will discuss the natural history of the Blue Ridge and surrounding Pisgah National Forest. The skies will ultimately transform into a breathtaking landscape of color, shadow and depth the likes of which you can only get in our NC mountains. Depending on your interest, we may discuss the flora and fauna of high-elevation balds, night sky constellations, or navigating by the stars like our forefathers did 150 years ago.
