Historian Pamela Grundy will present “Athletes, Cheerleaders and Civil Rights in North Carolina.” The presentation covers the experiences of high school athletes and cheerleaders as North Carolina schools desegregated during the 1960s. This program is in support of the Hometown Teams: How Sports Shape America exhibit on display at the Library from September 11 through October 24th.
