Keith Lockhart conducts the music of Wynton Marsalis in this momentous capstone concert of an extraordinary weeklong residency. Tai Murray makes her Brevard debut in Wynton’s jazzy, bluesy Violin Concerto, a tour de force for orchestra and soloist. Then, Wynton and the JLCO join with Lockhart and the BMCO for Marsalis’s masterwork “The Jungle,” inspired by the fluid, pressure-packed, and cosmopolitan metropolis of New York City.
