Here at the Visitor Center, we’re proud to serve as the official home of the White Squirrel Institute, dedicated to rescuing and protecting Brevard’s beloved white squirrels. These little critters are a local icon, and the Institute is committed to their conservation efforts. When you stop by, you can explore their world—learn about their habitats, history, and ongoing rescue initiatives. Visitors also have the unique opportunity to support these efforts by sponsoring the rehabilitation of a white squirrel through our adoption program. It’s a wonderful way to connect with our community’s wildlife and contribute to their well-being.
