Sliding Rock—Nature’s Water Slide—Reopens Memorial Day Weekend
Spared from major storm damage during Hurricane Helene, Gleitender Fels in Pisgah National Forest is ready to welcome visitors for the 2025 summer season. The iconic 60-foot natural water slide opens Memorial Day weekend, with daily operations from 9 AM to 6 PM through Labor Day.
- Eintritt:$5 per person (ages 5 and under free); credit cards preferred, cash accepted
- Services:Lifeguards on duty, restrooms open, staffed gatehouse
- Safety:All sliders must be able to swim. Kids under 7 must slide with an adult (one adult per child). Only approved personal flotation devices (PFDs) allowed. No inflatables, alcohol, or picnicking.
